With Meghan Markle dressed in white and Prince Harry in black perched behind her at their home in Montecito, California, the cover, published to coincide with Harry’s birthday, received a mixed reaction. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex posed in the grounds of their Californian home in the latest edition of Time Magazine, which names them among the 100 most influential people. The new images taken at their new home in Montecito, Santa Barbara, show the couple looking directly at the camera, with Harry’s arm affectionately on his wife’s shoulder.
A third photo also shows the couple walking hand-in-hand in the grounds of their California home, with the Duchess adding a dark green coat to her ensemble.
A Twitter user Maggie Sarkany wrote: “Why is every picture, podcast, video done at the ‘Montecito Mansion’? Is there nowhere else a picture can be taken? And of course in front of the same tree!”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle live with their son Archie and daughter Lilibet in a stunning mansion in Montecito, California.
The couple swapped their UK home, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, for the beautiful American property which they purchased in June 2020.
From a spa to a tennis court and even their own private playground for their children to enjoy, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s epic home is very luxurious.
Home Advisor previously released a 3D floor plan of Harry and Meghan’s bedroom, showing four separate areas: an outdoor terrace, the bedroom, an en-suite bathroom, and a dressing room.
The bedroom seems to feature a large bed with two matching bedside tables, while the bathroom has a tub, a single sink, a shower, and a separate toilet cubicle.
The dressing room appears to have storage at one side, and a seating area with two chairs next to the window at the other.
The bedroom looks to open to a terrace via double French doors, where the Duke and Duchess have two white armchairs, a matching sofa, and two wooden tables.
The Duchess revealed her home office on her 40th birthday as she launched her 40×40 initiative.
Meghan sat at her wooden desk on a cream dining room style chair, and behind her, a traditional fireplace could be seen.
The 40-year-old used a stack of white books to prop her laptop up to eye level, and her desk was filled with items to look aesthetically pleasing in matching muted tones.
In September 2020, the couple appeared from their garden for TIME 100’s primetime broadcast.
The video showed a small corner of the royal couple’s grounds, which span 7.38 acres and feature lots of trees.
Montecito in Santa Barbara is renowned for its secluded hillside estates that promise the utmost privacy, and attracted celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise and Ellen DeGeneres.
Harry and Meghan’s property is situated on a private road with a lengthy driveway and large security gates.
According to TMZ, the Duke and Duchess spent £11.2million on the property. For this price, Harry and Meghan are living in an 18,000 square feet home sat on five acres of land.
Inside, the house reportedly has nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms.
Reports say there is a separate guest house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which Meghan’s mother Doria, who lives nearby in Los Angeles, will likely use when she visits.
The main house reportedly includes a library, an office, a spa, a gym, a games room, an arcade, a cinema, a wine cellar, and a garage.
Outside, there is a huge lawn with rose gardens, a tennis court, a tea house, a large outdoor pool, and a children’s cottage for Archie and Lilibet.
