WhatsApp users must update app NOW to fix frustrating problem | The Sun
IF you noticed that some WhatsApp notifications didn't come through recently you aren't alone.
Apparently it affected some users on iPhone specifically.
There haven't been any reports of it happening on Android.
That's obviously a big issue if you want to be alerted by friends and family whenever they have something important to say.
The only way you would know you had a new message is by opening WhatsApp manually.
And that's not ideal.

It all seems to be due to a faulty app update that was only released a few days ago.
"After recent update msg’s not getting delivered untill one open the app," one user said.
"This is quiet frustrating."
Another person added: "Missed lots of crucial messages and I have to leave WA open to see them pop up.

Apparently it only affected business accounts so most people should be fine anyway.
Either way, WhatsApp has fixed it with their latest update which is now rolling out.
So if you were affected, be sure to update yours now.
