WI-FI users have access to several free features that can boost their network's speed.

Sometimes Wi-Fi connections slow down; this can happen for a variety of reasons.

Thankfully, there are many tools at users' disposal to enhance Wi-Fi speed.

One of the best (and easiest) ways to smooth your connection, according to High-Speed Internet's blog, is to turn everything on and off.

The first thing you want to do is unplug your modem or wireless gateway.

Next, wait for around 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

"This process allows the modem to clear out any glitches," High-Speed Internet wrote.

"Your modem translates internet signals between your home network and your internet provider," the blog continued.

Typically, if your internet is lagging, a power cycle is the best place to start troubleshooting.

You will also want to follow this process with your router.
