JEEP is discontinuing a popular range loved by Brits in favour of an all-EV lineup.<\/p>\n

The iconic brand is transitioning away from petrol power in a bid to produce only electric cars by 2030.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As part of that project, the petrol Grand Cherokee line is being phased out to make way for new battery-powered versions.<\/p>\n

Jeep confirmed the scrapping of the Trackhawk variant in 2021.<\/p>\n

The fifth generation standard Grand Cherokee is still available with a petrol engine, but there is now a plug-in hybrid version too.<\/p>\n

The model was renewed in 2021 and generation cycles usually last six or seven years, so we can expect the discontinuation of the petrol range as a whole by the end of the decade.<\/p>\n

Jeep now offers the all-electric Avenger model to take the place of its SUV offerings.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the manufacturer said: "The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk was discontinued after the 2021 model year.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

"The fifth generation Grand Cherokee is available with the 4xe plug-in hybrid version. \u00a0<\/p>\n
