Did Wheeler Dealers find the Fiesta? Inside Mike Brewer's stolen classic car | The Sun

WHEELER DEALERS fans have been desperate for more information on host Mike Brewer's Ford Fiesta after he revealed it had been stolen.

The TV star fronts the beloved motoring show, which sees vintage vehicles restored to their former glory, alongside co-host Marc "Elvis" Priestly and both presenters have appealed to the public for help with hunting down the stolen car.

What happened to Mike Brewer's Ford Fiesta?

Mike Brewer revealed that his Ford Fiesta Mk1 was stolen in June 2023.

The car had been specially restored by Brewer and Priestly to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Wheeler Dealers show, with £11,200 worth of work going into the project.

The overhaul of the car was also to commemorate the end of the iconic Ford hatchback, which Ford have discontinued.

The 1979 Mk 1 Ford Fiesta 1300S went missing from the car park of the hotel the Wheeler Dealers crew had been staying at in Knottingley Road, Pontefract.

It was due to be unveiled on the show the day after it was taken.

Did Wheeler Dealers get the Ford Fiesta back?

As of November 2023, the stolen Ford Fiesta has not been returned to Brewer and Priestly.

The presenting pair had been planning to take the restored vehicle to a Ford festival in Yorkshire earlier in 2023 but, of course, were unable to do so.

What has Mike Brewer said about the Ford Fiesta?

In a video posted to Twitter shortly after it was taken, Mike and his co-host Marc appealed to the public for any information they may have that could help them get the stolen car back.

They explained at the time that they hoped the classical car community could "come together" to track it down.

Then, in an interview with the Express, Mike offered £5,000 cash to anyone who could share where the stolen Ford Fiesta was.

He added: "I will drop that in a bin, I will send that to a PO BOX, I don’t care how it happens.

"It will be one of those Hollywood movie endings.

"Whatever someone wants me to do, I don't care.

"I will go into a crowded pub and give someone £5,000 if someone gives me the car."

In footage from the 2023 series of Wheeler Dealers, Brewer and Priestly relived the moment they realised the car had been taken.

Priestley said: "We were so proud of it.

"We went to bed in the hotel all excited about the next day when everyone was going to get to see it for the first time.

"And as many of you will now know, we woke up in the morning and it had been stolen. And it was heartbreaking.”

Brewer added: "We devoted so much of our time and attention way above what we normally do on a restoration or a build, into this car because we knew how important this car was.

"There's only four of them left in the country so this was a really important car for us.

"To wake up in the morning and find out it had been stolen was destroying…It destroyed us."

He continued: "To stand in front of 1,000 people at our one festival we had arranged and tell it to them, announce it to them, there were tears.

"It was really tough."
